From the Club Nokia in Los Angeles, California featherweight Ronny Rios (11-0, 5 KOs) stopped Leivi Brea (17-8-3, 9 KOs) with consistent body attack at the end of 4th round. The 6 round bout started off with both fighters trying to establish themselves early and by the 2nd round Rios was having success as the aggressor, even if he did get a point deduction for a low blow late in the round. In the 3rd round Rios came out determined to reclaim the deducted point as stepped up his attack to the head and body. Displaying his good schooling Rios used his defense, jab and combinations to eventually wear down Brea to the body in route to 4th round KO. The promising featherweight prospect Ronny Rios improved to 12-0, 6 KOs while Leivi Brea dropped to 17-9-3, 9 KOs.
In the co-main event welterweight prospect Antonio Orozco (7-0, 5 KOs) from San Diego, California took on Humberto Tapia (15-14-1, 8 KOs) from Sinaola, Mexico in a 6 round bout. In a competitive fight, Orozco outworked and out-landed a very game and aggressive Tapia from start to finish. Even though Orozco basically dominated the fight it wasn’t without putting in some hard work against the more experience Mexican. Antonio Orozco used his good skills to stay undefeated with a unanimous decision improving his record to 8-0, 5 KOs while Humberto Tapia fell to (15-15-1, 8 KOs).
In what seemed to be a fill in fight before the main event Jonathon Bobadilla took a UD in an ugly fight to improved to 5-3 0 KOs against Juan Alfonso Figueroa who fell to 6-8-1, 3 KOs.
Also, In his pro debut Salvador Rios (brother of Ronny Rios) overwhelmed Stephen Rubalcava to a 2nd round stoppage after a right hand from Rios tossed Rubalcava mouthpiece to the canvas.
