Tyson Fury looking to wow America

Big, brash but never dull Tyson Fury 11-0 (9) returns to action tomorrow night and will make his debut on the Showtime US tv channel for the first time when he fights brilliantly named Rich “Super” Power 12-0 (9) at the York Hall, Bethnal Green, London.

Fury who fought well last time out to stop John McDermott in their rematch is of course as confident as usual that he will win and that he will impress the watching American audience.

Power, though is also confident having remained unbeaten since turning professional. However this will be the first time that Power will have fought outside his native Michigan, USA. He seems quite a big man but will still be dwarfed by the huge Fury. Also Fury will probably weigh in at around 265lbs in comparison to Power’s 225lbs.

Power has talked a good game this week but in reality has only ever fought over the four round distance which is a big hurdle when tomorrows fight is scheduled for eight. This is another surprise to me as Fury having beaten McDermott twice should now be fighting in ten rounders.

Tough to predict tomorrow but I have to go with Fury. Although it is extremely doubtful that he will become the saviour of boxing as he once predicted he is pretty tough and finds a way to win. Power could be very good but with no knowledge of him, he could also be pretty poor.
