Fury (right) looked soft for his last fight will he come into this fight in better shape?

British heavyweight prospect Tyson Fury (12-0, 9 KOs) will fight on the Jean Pascal- Bernard Hopkins undercard against Israel Carlos Garcia (20-3, 11 KOs) on December 18th.

The fight will take place at the Pepsi Coliseum in Quebec, Canada and will be Fury first fight under new trainer Emmanuel Stewart who trains current WBO/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko among others.

Stewart recently became Miguel Cotto’s trainer after his loss to Manny Pacquiao who has since won himself a WBA jr middleweight title under Stewart’s guidance. Can Stewart raise Fury’s game to where it needs to be for him to be a top contender in the division is the question.

Stewart has had success working with tall fighters in the past such as Lennox Lewis and more recently Wladimir Klitschko he likes his fighters to fight tall and work behind the jab which with Fury standing at 6’7 should work perfectly.

Fury has received criticism in the past for being sloppy and lacking stamina but with a chance to shine overseas to improve his stock he’ll be looking to make a big impression against the man who goes by the alias “King Kong”.

Israel Carlos Garcia is 40 years old and has lost two of his last three one of those being a third round TKO suffered at the hands of Chris Arreola but like all old fighters he has experience on his side can he exploit Fury who may have stepped in at the deep end too soon?

I doubt it but it’s boxing and stranger things have happened.
