Anybody care about Chris Arreola any more? I think he's had enough chances to get his act together. We've seen the best of him, and that's the sad part.

Re: Arreola
I'd like to see him take 6 months or a year off. Fix up his hands. Then come back again around 235 lbs or better. A year from now I won't be surprised if both Klitschkos are near retirement. By the time Arreola works back into contention they won't be an issue and he could have some success. He could fight guys like Povetkin, Leapai, Haye, Peter, Sexton, Solis, and T. Ibragimov and maybe hold his own.
Can't say that I don't care about him anymore... but if he takes an extended hiatus it'd probably be the wise thing. Then when he comes back he'll seem fresh and new and with a couple tier 2 wins, all his failures will seem long gone. Let's say July-September of 2011... let him fight somebody like Shane Cameron to get restarted and give it one more run.
You're a nicer guy than I am. Okay, he gets one more chance.

Re: Arreola
i think chris showed his has the will and heart of a fighter in the ring it's out of it he needs work
i honestly can't understand how he is always in terrible shape.......well i can but he shouldn't be lol
he needs to really focus and decide if boxing is what his life is all about because it seems he wants to be successful (goes without saying) but he needs to understand that no one (and i do mean no one) wins a world title without having to work extremely hard for it
i agree with uppercutter if he takes a break lets his hands heal and does some serious roadwork so he is at least in the kind of shape he was in a few years back he could be a threat
he could've beaten adamek if he trained hard for it adamek is not a natural heavweight and it showed anytime arreola unloaded on him
it's a shame he can't motivate himself to work hard in the gym because he is a decent fighter honestly though the hand problems combined with his lack of dedication to training will always be his downfall i think

He will never get it. This is as good as it gets for him. He will be a guy that is stuck headlining espn friday night fights shows until the end of time or till he eats his way out of the sport all together.

Re: Arreola
Still... I love watching Emmanuel Augustus fight on ESPN2... if Arreola wants to fill that role, I'll tune in. Now if he gets a nutritionist and does the road work and makes the right fights, he can still get a belt. The Klitschkos will retire, either one or both, within the next couple years I bet. At that time it should be a free-for-all of entertaining fights between guys with comparable skill. Not Klitschko level skill - but all equally mediocre. And it'll be very entertaining for awhile as guys like Arreola grab and lose belts every other month. He'll have his day.
he needs to take his training more seriously if he wants to advance any further than the level he presently is at

Re: Arreola
He is this generation's David Tua. Big puncher, that will beat lower level fighters but against the division's best will always be 2nd best.
He knows what he sees when he looks in the mirror and when he plays back his fights, but with his current lifestyle he is highly ranked by all organisations and made good money. I cannot see him changing unless he moves away from family and friends. However, as he has the above (ranking and money) without sacrificing he will continue to enjoy the best of both worlds until he gets beaten up by some no hoper when he is much older.

Re: Arreola
arreola will be always in the mix but his lack of motivation to train better and eat the right things tells me he might never win a world title! Same wih solis! a very talentet guy but to much out of shape
