I hoped for a little more from Saul Alvarez. He showed no footwork or head movement. Despite the announcers' repeated marveling at his hand speed, old N'dou looked just as quick to me on the few occasions when he let his hands go.

On the other hand, Canelo landed lots of combinations and single punches (against a stationary target in a defensive shell) and kept punching for twelve rounds. There's no disgrace in failing to knock out N'dou - nobody else has either.

I'll remain hopeful for the young man, but fear for him if he fights someone good who has a bit of mobility and power.

Yeah, lots of people expected Saul to give us a more impressive performane... like if anyone could stop Lovemore it "should've" been him.

He's got a great pro record, but he's young... so should he step up? Or should he keep fighting N'dou level fighters? Who next?
Or who should he get training him so that he gets better defensively?
