Dirrell and Taylor returned from Friday 30
Dirrell and Taylor returned from Friday 30
To close the year 2011 will be held Friday, December 30 at Morongo Casino in Cabazon, a big boxing event. Jermain Taylor 33 years (28-4-1, 17 KO) will face in a confrontation with American middleweight Jessie Nicklow at 24 years young (22-2-3, 8 KO). Led on points against Arthur Abraham, Taylor suffered a resounding KO end of 2009 from the German just a few seconds before the end of the fight, and had decided to put her career temporarily on hold. Although named the winner by disqualification against the same opponent, Andre Dirrell was also forced to leave the tournament for a priori other reasons, the lanky American with a 88 meter (19-1-0, 13 KO) will be on opposite to him in the category of super middleweight Darryl Cunningham (24-2-0, 10 KO). Opponents who have very honorable awards seem to have the a priori profile opponents carefully chosen to restore the confidence of two ghosts.

BOXING. Boudouani delighted to Castillejo of the continental title
One month after superwelters lightweight Jean-Baptiste Mendy, another former boxing great hope of French who made a comeback in the ring in Europe. Tuesday night at Epernay (Marne), Laurent Boudouani grabbed the European title by dethroning weights superwelters Spaniard Javier Castillejo by referee stoppage in the ninth round.
Castillejo, 26, champion of Europe after winning January 11, 1994 against the French Bernard Razzano, defended his title for the fifth time. Boudouani, 28, had for its part held the title of continental Nov. 29, 1992 to October 5, 1993, when he was beaten by Razzano by referee stoppage in the eighth round. At the time, there was more to build world-an ounce of hope for the future of boxing Boudouani, 0catalogué too fragile physically and psychologically. And silver medalist (welterweight) Seoul Olympics (1988) left at the auction and barrel. Only a fierce fighting spirit has perkkmis, against all odds, to resurface.
With the win, Boudouani became the seventh champion of Europe in French business, as a total of thirteen. He joined Fabrice Tiozzo (light heavyweight), Frederic Sellier (supermoyens), Kalid Rahilou (superlight), Jean-Baptiste Mendy (mild), Jacobin Yoma (superplume) and Mehdi Labdouni (pen). A collective performance ever successful so far by French boxing. But this victory Boudouani is primarily individual. Castillejo, considered one of the best world class, was dominated from start to finish in all areas, physically and technique, before being escorted back to his corner.
This does not mean that the Savoyard will soon play a world championship. Having found a way, he will have to go through the feeling it is to defend, before hoping to aim higher. On the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, but his joy, he was still far from it: "I feel great happiness. We are even happier to regain than to conquer. I managed my fight. You should not rush, I had to stay focused from beginning to end, because it has a little unpredictable reactions. "He had probably thought of everything, except perhaps that it would end so easy.
