During the 49th Congress of the World Boxing Council (WBC), the agency ordered that the WBC champion heavyweight, veteran Bernard Hopkins (52-5-2) make an immediate revenge against Chad Dawson (30-1 -0).

Yesterday, the Athletic Commission of the State of California (CSAC) has changed the sentence of the first meeting between Hopkins and Dawson in a fight without a decision. Last October, the duel had ended by TK-O in the 2nd round, in fact, Dawson had wounded the American veteran in the right shoulder by projecting the ropes.

Dawson promoter Gary Shaw has spoken with a strong case for immediate revenge, which was approved by the President of the WBC, the Mexican Jose Sulaiman. Bernard Hopkins who said he would not give a second chance to Chad Dawson, will be forced to defend his title against him.

Lors du 49éme congrès de la World Boxing Council (WBC), l’organisme a ordonné que le champion WBC des poids mi-lourds, le vétéran Bernard Hopkins (52-5-2) fasse une revanche immédiate contre Chad Dawson (30-1-0).

Hier, la Commission athlétique de l’état de Californie (CSAC) a changé la sentence de la première rencontre entre Hopkins et Dawson en un combat sans décision. En octobre dernier, le duel s’était terminé par T.K.-O au 2éme round, en effet, Dawson avait blessé le vétéran américain à l’épaule droite en le projetant dans les cordes.

Le promoteur de Dawson, Gary Shaw s’est prononcé avec un dossier solide pour une revanche immédiate, qui a reçu l’approbation du président de la WBC, le mexicain Jose Sulaiman. Bernard Hopkins qui avait affirmé qu’il ne donnerait pas une seconde chance à Chad Dawson, sera obligé de défendre son titre contre ce dernier.
