The true winner of this evening Bernard Hopkins. At the end of this fight he was the faster quicker and more fit guy not the 18 year younger Pascal..
Damne I love this guy. I watch his fights now over 10 years and maybe 10 years more on high level?
Who is for you the winner?

Re: Hopkins vs Pascal (Spoiler)
Hopkins in a decent fight to watch??? That is pretty unusual!
To be fair, at his age it is phenomenal the quality of boxing he can still produce and that he still has the reflexes to fight at the top level. An all time great but a bit too dull for me.
Yes Hopkins seemed to win most of the rounds but lets not forget he lost four points for two knockdowns which always was going to leave him with an uphill battle with the judges.
It shouldnt happen but judges will always be influenced by 15,000 home fans going wild when the home fighter lands a punch. Hopkins at fourty five years old and with twenty years of experience should have known the risks.

Yeah exactly that was his own risk.
But why unusual?
Hopkins is the P4P in Light Heavyweight, and always a exciting man. Damne look at his age and the peformance.
This is Boxing and Entertainmant pure Jimmmy. Say what say but for me he is one of the greatest.

Considering the knockdowns, I'm satisfied with the decision. Bernard looked amazingly quick and sharp for a guy of thirty-five, say nothing of forty-five - this was his most spirited performance in years.
The guy is a freak of nature.

I want video of his training. HBO should make a whole documentary on it, what he eats, how he works out, everything. I'd follow that routine for the rest of my life!

you've changed your tune mem
weren't you saying a while ago that bhop mosley holyfield and all these old fighters should retire?
maybe i'm wrong if so my bad
look i respect what bernard has done but i have to say i dislike him
he's a dirty boring fighter to watch yes i respect his boxing acumen and the way he applies his craft but come on he isn't exciting to watch at all let's be real
his best wins are over two welterweights that came up to middleweight in trinidad and de la hoya he only rained at middle so long because rjj moved up
he picks guys he thinks he has advantages over like pavlik & pascal and while it is incredible how he is able to still be competing at world class level at his age don't mean i have to sit and watch him clinch hold butt clinch hold butt (to be fair he didn't do as much of that in this fight) for 12 rounds
the fight was in no way a robbery bernard certainly won more rounds but he was dropped twice it was always going to be a struggle to win a decision in that predicament
the way showtime and jim gray conducted themselves was unprofessional and quite frankly a disgrace they are suppose to be impartial
how many times has a fighter from outside the states been robbed on their soil now they want to cry bloody murder because it happen to them fuck off seriously fucking arrogant yanks really get on my nerves
unless bhop wants to fight dawson and cloud i have no interest in seeing him fight i used to like him and i do think he is a great fighter but i'll be glad to see the back of him because as a person he is abit of a cunt

I couldnt agree that much more if i tried. One of the most boring defensive fighters in the past 20 yrs. Great record though.
Agree about showtime interviewers. So biased and unprofessional. Showed Pascal no respect at all.

Pascal went to war with Carl Froch and clearly beat Chad Dawson. He's mobile, has fast hands, and a good chin. Beyond experience, what were Bernard's obvious advantages over him?

Yeah you have right, I tuned my mind...
WHY? Well after the Jones rematch I was disappointed from Hopkins and was absolute sure that he is now about the hill. Really.
And I will be honestly. I was to 100% sure that Hopkins not have 1% a chance again the young and strong Pascal.
But.. yeah you have see it self man.. absolute impressive and unbelievable this guy is 45!
