First of all, no big suprise the result of yesterday.

Couture have too much experience in this material art MMA and is one of the elite.

How a phyton crushed he toney on the ground.

Well Toney have no experience in MMA but he was so a big shoutmouth, "Jui Jitsu is a girls sport" so Toney.

Ha, now know it Toney better.

I said it again no big suprise the result, but what is when Toney meets Couture again in the ring with boxing rules?

I give Toney at most 2 rounds and then is the story over and Toney the winner by Ko.

It is not fair to compare this 2 material arts. But the MMA fighter is in my mind the completer fighter.

I was really excited yesterday what will happen between this 2 old titans, and I must admit that I never was a big friend off MMA, but the event yesterdy was cool!

It is a interesting material art and the hut was completly full with a explosive atmosphere.

I hope in the next time will Boxing come more back.

For example: Direll and Ward will not fight again because they are friends... :lol:

and Direll will fight in Detroit, and Ward in Oakland... :lol:

Well I hope it comes now a better time for boxing, when not I see the danger that boxing will die and MMA is the undisputed nr 1.

I believe that boxing will hold strong. Not because I love it and haven't enjoyed MMA but also because it's rich tradition and history. From Jack Dempsey and Joe Louis to Muhammad Ali it's part of history lessons throughout the world.

Now boxing would surely die if they wore speedo's and layed on the ground hugging for five minutes.(Alright I'm kidding no hate please)

But as far as the Toney circus. First I must point out that mma was not his sport. Was Basketball hurt when Michael failed at baseball.
No. Did people say baseball players were better because he could not compete?
No, because it was not his sport. James Toney now past 40 and over the hill did not represent boxing in there. He was just a name to sell tickets.
I read this earlier tonight and thought I'd share it.

Yeah you have right, I see it so too and say it before that a MMA fighter have no chances again a Pro Boxer with boxing rules.

But in this time the Pro Boxing have a big crises.

Hope it will be next time better...

I'd like to see Cauliflower ear (Couture) have a boxing match only with Toney. He'd get opened up like a pack of crisps. Agree with all points here-esp. re boxing's glorious past and deep rooted history.

toney can't compete with good but not even great boxers right now and you're making a big deal because a guy who has done mixed martial arts his whole career manages to take a fat washed up fighter who has only trained in mma for 9 months and submitt him. BIG FUCKING DEAL

i used to like watching mma i still like watching anderson silva fight and couple others but serious why are they trying to act like they are better than boxing that really gets on my tits

if a mixed martial arts guy whose specialty was ground game stepped into a boxing ring with the likes of paul williams or pacquiao what do you think would happen

he would be bludgeoned to within an inch of his life and made to look like a complete bum

as much as i hate boxing right now it would never put on a farce like last night and sell it as a pay per pay (granted they'd just sell us a fight involving a known cheat but you get what i'm saying) and that was the co main event

i'm sorry but dana white can go fuck himself he's making UFC look like a joke imo i prefer the days when royce gracie was about at least then it was what it says it was ultimate fighting

that last night was an ultimate disgrace

I think Toney was totally unprepared for the fight, though I think it was a lost cause from the start. The game he signed on for is just too different, and the quality of his first opponent too high. James was completely ineffective, both offensively and defensively.

Couture looked like an athlete, Toney a blob.

I used to watch MMA but dont bother anymore. I appreciate their skills but to hear some UFC fans crowing that it shows that MMA fighters are better than boxers is just complete bollocks.

Toney is washed up and was not a true representation of our sport. If a good boxer fought a good UFC fighter in UFC then the UFC fighter would win 8 times out of 10 with the boxer scoring the odd knockout win but if a UFC fighter fought a boxer in the boxing ring under boxing rules the boxer would win every time.

toney practically fell over and then randy couture mounted him straight away that shows toney had absolutely no ground game skills at all even kimbo had better takedown defense

had randy have done that against a proper mma guy he would've been in trouble he went straight for the leg which toney should have known he would do but he can't prepare in 9 months for a completely different sport that's just stupid

now apparently kimbo has signed with gary shaw

is this how bad the state of combat sport is they have to resort to fucking freak shows?
