Amir did well to a certain degree on Saturday but like you, I believe he is a million miles away from competing with the likes of Floyd. Juan Manuel Marquez, the winner of Bradley/Alexander and if Joan Guzman can maintain his weight, then that should fill his calendar fir next year. Forcing a fight against an opponent that you are no where near ready for is silly on every level.

One thing I would say is do not have rematch with Maidana unless Marcos picks up a real title. As a big a puncher as he is I do not think he is worthy of his lofty status in the division. He was beaten by Kotelnik and the gets to fight for the interim title against Ortiz (seriously overrated) when the true Champ was still active. He has a couple of decent wins but would like to see him take on the loser of Bradley/Alexander and maybe Kotelnik again before being talked about as major threat again. Being a big puncher should not guarantee you title fights all the time.

I think the Maidana vs Khan fight was much closer than the scorecards said. But I tend to credit quality of punches over quantity. I'd say Maidana landed the more meaningful punches. I'd also say that Cortez should never ref a fight again - he's far too involved and saved Khan's butt in the 10th round for sure.
Khan did okay. He's ready to fight the winner or Bradley/Alexander... but he's lucky that they're both light punchers b/c he has a chance to outbox them. The guy still has a weak chin and that means he still has a lot of serious work to do on his defense. When he was hurt he should've held on or done a better job getting on his bike. Instead, he kept eating uppercuts and hooks. And if Cortez wasn't there taking points from Maidana and yelling at him the whole night (working for Khan in other words), Maidana would've mauled Khan into submission like Hatton did Kostya.
Floyd Mayweather Jr? Hahahaha. Good joke. Floyd knocks Amir out in 3 without being hit more than once per round. That's the ultimate mismatch. And come on... Floyd is a large welterweight, practically a jr. middleweight. Amir is at 140. Pssht.

Whilst Khan is nowhere near the finished article , I feel he has an excellent chance of beating Floyd. Khan is much taller, possibly a bit quicker than Floyd and has just got a horrible rangy style that could be all wrong for Floyd.

With Khan's porous defence against such a quick and accurate counter puncher like Mayweather, Floyd would have a field day. Also Khan is no taller than Diego Corrales who Floyd tagged happily all night and floored 5 times and would have no problems nailing Amir. Khan has the speed to bother anyone but it would wasted if he is not landing his own punches and getting countered at every turn.

Unless Amir develops the sort of punch power like a Tommy Hearns to keep Floyd at bay then I don't see how he wins as Floyd would walk him down and stop him.

Khan proved a lot to me against Maidana but nothing to suggest he is at a level to taclke the great which Floyd definitely is.

My fear was that I believe alone on this Planet that Amir have a chance again Floyd. Yes he have the skills and speed to handle a Mayweather !

Amir is worldclass, but nobody will it accept this... why ? Amir have the skills in 2 - 3 years to be the top in his weigh class. For sure.

Clever, fast and many much talent.

That's funny because Floyd himself doesn't share the same opinion you do, since every time someone mentions Pac he starts saying,"Uuummm, uuumm, I ain't looking to box right now, I'm on vacation right now, yeah vacation, until Pac retires, yeah." Of course, this all started after Pac said he would agree to Floyd's drug testing demands.
