Marvin Hagler vs Bernard Hopkins

This is a dream matchup as I consider both fighters to be top-five Middleweights. I think I have to go with Hagler here, maybe by SD, he's just a bit better than Hopkins but not so much as to run away with it. In a one-off fight Hopkins could certainly win a decision while if they fought a hundred times Hagler might edge the series 55-45.

Hops has proven to be a master of come forward fighters , which was Haglers speciality... I thik Hops is as tough , and the version who fought Glen Johnson would have just pipped Hagler , but man, what a matchup.

I felt that Hopkins was at his very best when he beat Johnson. Now, given the ability of THAT variant of Hopkins to possibly trouble Hagler no-end - and ADD to that with his ability to get into Marv's head in the weeks leading up to such a fantasy contest......

Hmmmmm.......

Also think the version who did trinidad would beat Hagler.... The subtle lateral movement would have been the difference... Remember Hagler struggled with Duran... whos ability is vastly underated... Hops would have been in Haglers head something crazy promising all out war... then would have done everything but go to war... master tactician and Hagler proved he could be goaded VERY easily...

This is a tough fight for the marvelous one. Hopkins is a very clever fighter who could throw Marvin off his game. I still take MArvin to win on Pts
