Dans la boxe, il ne faut pas rater sa chance, il faut savoir la saisir.â-àSi on a voulu vraiment mettre fin à la carrière de Taoufik en tant que boxeur, on aurait pu lui organiser un combat contre Holyfield dans la catégorie, lourd-légers.â-àMais on ne l'a jamais fait de peur qu'il ne se fasse massacrer pour rien ! Vous savez, chez vous en Tunisie, on peut dénicher une dizaine de Belbouli, car les jeunes des banlieues défavorisées peuvent bien réussir, à condition qu'ils s'entraînent bien et qu'ils soient conscients de ce qu'ils font».
