Title chance for Froch: facing Abraham for WBC belt
Title chance for Frochhttp://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528, ... 92,00.htmlCarl Froch will bid to reclaim the WBC super-middleweight belt when he fights Arthur Abraham in Helsinki on November 27.
Froch had lost the belt to Denmark's Mikkel Kessler - but with an eye injury ruling him out of the Super Six World Boxing Classic, the belt is now vacant.
Initially the semi-final between American duo Andre Ward - already the WBA champion - and Andre Dirrell had been to be for the WBC belt as well.
However Abraham's management company Team Sauerland have won an appeal, so that the European fighters will now contest it in the other semi-final.
Chris Meyer, the general manager of Team Sauerland, said: "We welcome the WBC's decision. We are very happy for King Arthur. On November 27, he will finally be world champion again."
