Haye contracted for potential Klitschko trilogy

If David Haye is successful in his heavyweight title challenge to Wladimir Klitschko the Londoner is likely to engage in a trilogy of fights involving both Wladimir AND his brother, Vitali.

The Klitschko brothers' German manager Bernd Boente revealed details of the contract yesterday to ESPN.com's boxing writer, Dan Rafael.

Points of interest include:

- Haye's only income for the fight (said to be ‘millions') will come from Setanta Sports' broadcast rights fee

- Klitschko will receive an agreed portion of the Setanta cash plus all the other revenue the fight generates including fees from HBO (carrying the contest live in the US), RTL (German broadcaster), any other foreign broadcasting fees, all the live gate receipts and income from sponsorship

- If Haye wins, Klitschko's promotional company, K2, will promote his next two fights

- Again, should Haye win, his next two fights will be against one of the Klitschko brothers – either a rematch with Wladimir or a match with Vitali – and should he win that one, he'll face the other brother

It looks like Haye has pulled out all the stops and very much taken the short end, including options, in order to make sure the June 20th fight happens.

I just hope Haye takes his ******* head off!

That has to be the most ridicilous contract Ive seen in a while. Are the Klits scared of losing or something? Why else all the bizzare demands?!? :/

They aren't really bizzare unfortunately. It's almost GBP/DKP'ish though.

Just shows how much the Klitchko sisters are sh*ting themselves. Here'e hoping Haye ends the most boring reign in history.

Haye will win easily and the girly brothers know it, thats why they have the contract in their favours.

I still make Wlad the favourite, although Haye could well spark Wlad early. As i see it every time Haye is in range, so is Wlad. Wlad however can hit Haye while still being out of range.

2 good things for Haye though. Firstly Haye has very fast hands. The last person Wlad fought with fast hands was Corrie Saunders and look what happened there ( even though Corrie was only fast for 2-3 rounds ). Secondly, all these contract demands from the Klitshkos do show that they do fear Haye which is a good thing for the Brit.

Sultan Ibragimov has very fast hands for a heavyweight, IMO. He also hits about as hard as Haye appears to as a heavyweight. I just do not see the threat here.

Haye isn't a big heavyweight southpaw, like Sanders was.

As much as I dislike Haye and his trash-talking, that was a ridiculous clause he had to sign with fighting the Klitschko's 3 times in a row. But then the guy talks about fighting every 6 months. At least 1 thing is for sure, if he wins those 3 fights, he'll be the legit heavyweight kingpin (Chagaev, Valuev don't count). That being said, I still take Wlad TKO7. If he does beat him, considering that Vitali has barely lost a round his entire career, I can't see how Haye can beat him either.
