Randall Bailey still has the power as he starched the "never-been-stopped" Figueroa with an impressive right hand in the 4th round. Bailey scored a knockdown in the first only to be put down himself in the second. In the fourth round of the IBF light welterweight title eliminator he laid his opponent out for the count!
Power is the last thing to go with a fighter, but something tells me when Bailey challenges for the title, we might see the punchers chin was the first thing to go.
Still, it makes for exciting fights!
That was a sick shot he caught Gato with. It wasn't one of those frighteningly powerful looking shots. Just a well placed and quick right hand to the point of the chin...and when delivered right, they go.
Baiely's power is shocking though. At times, he reminds me of Julian Jackson and Ezra Sellers, simply with the way opponents generally react to being hit by shots that don't
look as damaging as they apparently are.
Randall has been up and down in his career, but I still think he's somewhat close to whatever it was that he....was. He's not world class unfortunately.
Makes you look at Cotto differently though, because he took some huge bombs from Bailey and really never flinched.
