Froch may take the bait of Bhop-to compare how he does vs how Calzaghe did. Smoking boots and all!

Re: Hopkins wants Froch!
Hopkins is just looking for an easy fight. Even at 44 years old his defensive acumen is enough to carry him past most fighters, provided they aren't the speedster types who throw lots of punches, and even then he makes everyone look bad. I think with Froch's poor defense, Hopkins would potshot the guy enroute to an easy 12 round decision.

Re: Hopkins wants Froch!
I still feel that no matter how well Hopkins looks after his body, there is a very real chance of him turning old in any fight. Although i feel Hopkins beats Froch, Calzaghe proved that if you force Hopkins into a fast pace then he cant do twelve rounds.
Say what you want about Froch but he has the stamina to go 12 at a very fast pace so it would be an interesting matchup if Froch could force the pace early even if he lost those early rounds.

taylor gave hopkins some troubl, so i think if froch is on his A game can beat hopkins, however if both boxers are on their A game i think hopkins will take it

Re: Hopkins wants Froch!
i think roujinziro nails Hopkins intentions, i don't think he's looking for anymore really taxing 'legacy' fights anymore, instead i get the impression he's looking to sucker a young champion like Pavlik into a fight for an 'easy' payday. That why I think Froch's managment was wise to look past Hopkins, he's obviously sure he can close down Froch (i think he's right to!) and even were Froch to win, it'd be the old catch 22- father time caught up with Hopkins so the credit he'd get would be negligable.
