WBC lightheavyweight champ Adrian Diaconu was dropped and out boxed by Jean Pascal in Canada Friday night.
Was he exposed or did most of us underrate Pascal?
One thing for sure, Chad Dawson would have embarrased Diaconu had they met!

Well done Pascal, came to Froch's hometown and fought superbly. Then moved up a division and beat an unbeaten fighter. Looks like Diaconu got exposed but let Pascal have his moment.

It was a great fight, Pascal was the deserving victor. I was surprised at how one dimensional Diaconu is though, wouldn't expect that from a guy with Diaconu's amateur pedigree.

Man, that was some fight, it was action packed. I'm happy for Pascal, he's a good fighter and he showed that you can box and still be exciting. I think he brought the wrong game plan in against Froch. If he fought like this against Froch he would have beaten him. Looking forward to seeing Pascal fight some of the top guys at 175 like Dawson or fight some guys who are at 168 right now. Guys like Green or Andrade could move up to 175 to fight Pascal.

I didn't think Diaconu showed much of what I'd seen in earlier matches. Pascal must have stiffled it out of him, but there was no variety. That or he had a terrible gameplan. His head movement wasn't there, he wasn't nearly as mobile around the ring, and his punches simply weren't accurate or powerful enough. Full credit to Pascal for his impressive effort - good fight - glad to see Pascal in at light heavy. I think Pascal vs winner of Jones/Green makes sense.
Pascal put on a great fight and great performance. Diaconu seems like another one-dimensional come forward fighter. Froch's stock definitely rises with Pascal's win.
