Re: Primes--Tommy Morrison vs. Andrew Golota
Interesting matchup. Like most everyone else, if Golota is on, then he is as talented as any heavyweight in the past 20 years. But that's a big if. That being said, Tommy wins by 8th round KO.

Re: Primes--Tommy Morrison vs. Andrew Golota
Golota had the skills and attributes to become the heavyweight champion but mentally he was less than grounded when the going got tough. Sometimes he unravelled even before he enetered the ring, depending on the opponent. This to me suggests that the "back door" into his head was perpetually "unlocked". The right mind-sucker could convince him to lose, far in advance of the first bell, as evidenced by Lennox Lewis back in 1997.
Morrison, for his part, was a terrific three or four round fighter with one of the best left hooks I have ever seen, The knock on Tommy was his prep, chin and stamina...but he knew how to tear them up even if his gas tank was a little small.
Golota should be able to win this with his left jab alone. Andrew's power would aso be more than enough to dispose of Morrison, if properly delivered.
Thing is, Golota would lose BIG if they ever fought.
Morrison would start very fast, and given Golota's penchant for losing by ambush in the first round, odds are high he'd be decked seconds in such a bout.
If somehow that didn't happen, and Andrew found a way to hurt or even drop Morrison, expect Morrison to turn it all around the way he did with Ruddock. Golota was a lousy finisher and sloppy enough so that Morrison would land something desperate.
I'd bet the farm on Morrison in this one, and my over and under would be two rounds.
