Looked at the sky guide for tomorrow night. See the new ESPN sports channel are showing Witter-Alexander. Might be worth keeping an eye out on this channel. I am not subscribing yet but a step in the right direction.

I have heard elsewhere, they will be showing ESPN friday night fights the following weekend, I suppose it is better than nothing, but live boxing is what is needed to get this tight norterner to part with his cash

It is free for the first month to Virgin customers I think so they get UFC 101 and UFC 102 for free.
It needs live boxing content though to make it worth subscribing to IMO

Yep, I agree with all that guys. If it starts showing a decentish variety reasonably regularly then I'll jump on board. If not, nah not for me.

Re: ESPN- channel 417 in the uk- boxing tomorrow.
I can't see them filling the void in the UK since the demise of Setanta. Setanta got all the huge fights that fans really want to see (the recent wars at lightweight and welterweight as well as the masterclasses from B-hop and Moseley) rather than patriotic PPVs that are far from value for money. But as all those fights are on PPV in the States with the bigger boxing outlets it will cost ESPN way too much (as a rival US broadcaster) to pay for those rights.
If they prove me wrong, then like Setanta they will have a monthly subscription from me but I don't see it happening.
