Ward in a class by itself

The way that Andre Ward had to dominate the battle against Carl Froch was frankly impressive.

A boxing lesson. This is what I witnessed last Saturday at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.
Andre Ward (25 to 0.13 KOs) was favorite to win the final of the Super Six World Classic, the tournament weight super middleweight (168 lb) created by the television network Showtime, against Carl Froch (28-2, 20 KOs). I also predicted a win by unanimous decision for the athlete boxing lesson. This is what I witnessed last Saturday at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic native of Oakland, California.
But his outrageous way to dominate the confrontation was frankly impressive.
Last time Olympic gold medalist in boxing to come from the United States (in Athens in 2004), he proved that he was in a class by itself.
No one had ever dominated the tough English boxer in this way. Froch has received so much leather, especially with the surprising left hook to Ward, he had to make a real indigestion.
In fact, the veteran 27 year old reminds me of the champion welterweight of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Georges St-Pierre, for his ability to adapt in the heat of the moment and how it exploits the weaknesses of his rivals. Both are very comprehensive.
If the mixed martial arts fighter Quebec excels as much in boxing, muay thai, wrestling and jiu-jistu, the Californian has an excellent jab, boxer can fight outside or inside, in addition to being ambidextrous , capable of turning right-handed to left at ease. It will be hard to overcome.
The year 2011 brought us quality boxing and ended on a high note with the symphony of pugilistic Andre Ward. Want as many in 2012 ... with a major galactic collision between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao as a bonus! On this, I want to personally wish you a Merry Christmas.

Andre Ward is a sniper. The American found the target with an incredible ratio of 42%. He brought 243 shots on the 573 launched, while its rival, the Englishman Carl Froch, has placed 156 of the 683 sent. Ward was just as dominant in terms of jabs (107 against 47) that at the stroke of power (136 against 109).
In another vein, the total assistance announced at Boardwalk Hall Saturday was 5,626 spectators. In truth, there were fewer people in the amphitheater for the duel between David Lemieux and Joachim Alcine, December 10 at the Bell Centre, where 3,000 fans attended. Health of boxing seems precarious in the United States.
Bute or Froch to Hopkins
The next years will be crucial to Lucian Bute. However, the champion IBF super middleweight should be patient before they can unify the titles with the true world champion of the category and holder of the WBA, WBC and The Ring, Andre Ward.
The latter to fi ll a revenge against the Dane Mikkel Kessler. He believes that the Romanian-born Montrealer will make his classes before deserve a chance against him.
Clan InterBox, unable to establish an agreement with Ward seems to have set his sights on Carl Froch. A meeting return, the first in April in Montreal and the second, somewhere in the summer, in Nottingham, England, is one possibility for the foal Stéphan Larouche.
The WBC champion light heavyweight Bernard Hopkins in a shock to a weight compromise (possibly to 171 lb), is the plan B.
The uppercut
What a dominant performance from Andre Ward, Saturday in Atlantic City! Carl Froch did not seem simply to be in the same league. I would be remiss not to mention also the victory of Kevin Bizier, the same night at the Pepsi Coliseum in Quebec. Its gain by 12-round unanimous decision over American Lanardo Tyner also allowed him to gain a first belt in the professional or the crown of North American NABA welterweight.
The low blow
The score at the Ward-Froch clash, at least, was strange on two of three cards. In the opinion of all the 118-110 of the English judge John Keane was representative of the performance of the American.
As for the other two cards, 115-113 judged for Ward, ESPN columnist Dan Rafael summarized in two words my thoughts in relation to these two scores on his blog: a joke! This fight was never close ... But at least the best boxer won.

L'uppercut
Quelle performance dominante d'Andre Ward, samedi à Atlantic City!

Ward exemplifies everything good about the sport. He can sure as hell fight too. The breath of fresh air boxing needed. A sure fire P4P entrant.

I admit when the Super Six first started, I doubt Ward would have been my favorite but he was very impressive against a high level of competition.

Although he did not have much of a CV before the tournament I faniced him to win the whole thing because he had home advantage all the way through which is often the difference between equally matched fighters.

Technically a good fighter and makes adjustments to get through fights even though he is not a big puncher. Nothing on the horizon at 168 to trouble him but if he moved up to 175 might get walked down by a very good pressure fighter; lucky for him there is not anyone of note at that weight at the moment that fits that make up.
